Ingredients
  • 1 ball burrata cheese
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • 300 grams cherry tomatoes
  • 6 slices rustic bread or baguette
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh basil

Instructions

  1. 1

Slice rustic bread or baguette and brush lightly with olive oil. Place under the broiler until golden and crisp on both sides.

  2. 2

Place peeled garlic cloves on a small tray, drizzle with olive oil, and broil until soft and lightly golden. Watch carefully so they do not burn. You can use the air-fryer if you like.

  3. 3

Add cherry tomatoes to a baking tray with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Broil until they begin to burst and develop a slightly charred surface.

  4. 4

Mash the softened garlic cloves and spread them over the warm toasted bread.

  5. 5

Tear the burrata gently and spoon it over the garlic toast.

  6. 6

Arrange the warm blistered cherry tomatoes over the burrata.

  7. 7

Finish with fresh basil or a touch of balsamic glaze, then serve immediately.

Chef's Notes

Burrata means “buttered” in Italian, referring to its creamy centre. When paired with warm blistered cherry tomatoes and roasted garlic on crisp toast, it creates a simple dish that tastes like a luxurious Italian appetizer.
