First, heat the oil in a pan and cook the minced meat until it turns beautifully brown. Add finely chopped onions and stir until soft and fragrant. Mix in your spices and keep stirring until everything is rich and well blended.

Add the washed rice, then pour in beef broth if you have it, or water, making sure it fully covers the rice and meat. Bring it to a boil, then lower the heat and let it cook slowly for about 20 minutes, until all the liquid is absorbed then add the chickpeas and leave it for another 20 minutes.

To serve, sprinkle some fried almonds or pine nuts on top for a rich, nutty crunch. Pair it with a fresh salad, a side of yogurt, or both for a perfectly balanced meal.
